ENGINEERING THE IMPOSSIBLE. HIGHLY CUSTOM LED DISPLAY
When WWE sought to create a custom LED display for their headquarters, Trust Fall Technology Group selected i5LED to handle the complex engineering and design requirements. The project involved constructing a display in the exact shape of the WWE logo — a non-rectangular form with no parallel lines. i5LED took charge of designing, manufacturing, and installing the display, overcoming significant technical challenges to deliver a high-impact, visually stunning solution that perfectly represented WWE’s iconic brand.
Challenge
The design featured a non-rectangular logo shape with no parallel lines, requiring a fully custom display spanning 67 feet wide and 62 feet high. This unique shape created significant engineering hurdles, as the panels had to be custom fabricated to match the contours of the WWE logo. Additionally, ensuring structural integrity was critical due to the sheer size and complexity of the installation. The project demanded extreme precision and coordination to guarantee both performance and durability.
Solution
i5LED took charge of designing, manufacturing, and installing the display, overcoming the engineering challenges. The custom solution utilized over 5,545,000 individual diodes and 3,070 LED panels in 192 unique shapes, each unique to fit the WWE logo’s contours. i5LED’s engineering team designed and installed the 4.4mm LED display, incorporating 27 structural cabinets and 76 LED cabinets, connected by over 2 miles of cabling and powered by 600+ power supplies. With 6,500 nits brightness the display provides vibrant visuals even in direct sunlight.
Result
The final display is a powerful, high-impact representation of the WWE brand. Installed in WWE’s headquarters window, it provides vibrant visuals that stand out, even in direct sunlight. The project not only met WWE’s high standards for visual quality but also served as an engineering triumph, leaving a lasting impression on visitors and employees alike.
